The NEC and The Exchange Club of Central Rhode Island have a mission to inspire communities to become better places to live. To fulfill this mission, we support three Service Programs – Community Service, Youth Programs, and Americanism, including activities that support our military, Veterans, and first responders – and the National Project, the prevention of child abuse. Each year, communities in Rhode Island and around the country benefit from the promotion of pride in our country, college scholarships, youth mentoring, service to the underprivileged, and other services tailored to serve the needs of families in our community.

One Immense Difference.
Supporting our community is the core of ECCRI. We devote innumerable hours and dollars each year to pinpointing community service opportunities within our community and delivering support to fill gaps in services. The chance to serve others and experience the fulfillment that comes from giving is the number one reason people become members.
Going hand-in-hand with community service is our dedication to programs that benefit our youth. Through the awarding of college scholarships, mentoring, guidance, and service recognition we strive to make a difference in the lives of the next generation.

As part of our National Project, the ECCRI participates in a number of annual activities designed to increase awareness of child abuse, its consequences, and how it can be prevented. We also support experts in the prevention of child abuse who work directly with at-risk families.
